Abstract

The negative impact of family disruption has been well documented over the past several decades but Latino children are often left out of the literature. This thesis reviews past literature on the impact family disruption has on children while highlighting the gaps in the literature when focusing on more diverse families. It focuses on the Mexican American family and highlights the importance of further resources for disrupted families in the Mexican American community.
