Abstract
In this interview, Daniel Justicz reflects on his experiences with energy across various countries, including the UK, Bahamas, Czech Republic, and the United States. Born in the UK in 1969, Daniel moved to the Bahamas during the 1970s oil crisis, later settling in the US. His career spanned banking, real estate, and energy-related ventures, offering a unique perspective on global energy policy and practices. Daniel discusses how public perceptions of gas prices and energy scarcity shifted from the 1970s to today, including a growing emphasis on renewables. He contrasts energy consumption and infrastructure in the Czech Republic, particularly the use of brown coal and nuclear energy, with more energy-efficient practices in the UK and the less energy-conscious US. Reflecting on nuclear disasters and the development of alternative energy sources, Daniel underscores the need for a balanced, thoughtful approach to energy policy worldwide.
