Abstract
The class of Chengdu mechanisms is an interesting approach in school choice and admission strategies, featuring a type-based truncated Deferred Acceptance (DA) algorithm. This class of mechanisms possesses the properties of asymptotic stability, while a type-based truncated Deferred Acceptance with smaller differences across types is more stable. Through simulations and theoretical analysis, the Chengdu mechanism demonstrates its adaptability across diverse student populations and market sizes.
