Abstract
As the technology used in human life is developing at a dramatic rate, nowadays, the internet and smartphone or other digital devices have been involved in childhood and adolescence development. There are ongoing changes in teenagers' development since a lot of processes have been moved to online or digital environments, such as social learning, relationship building, and e-learning in schools. The present study aims to apply user experience research (UXR) methods to dive into the expansive area of how changing social media affects adolescents’ identity shaping and well-being. This study will have significance in the social media and technology industry. Knowing how social media affects adolescents and their perceptions inspires social media companies to better update their products in order to build a healthier and more positive online environment for teenagers to develop a sound understanding of the world.
