Metastable Triplet States As Spin Sensors

  • 1. University of Chicago

Description

Here, we demonstrate the use of the enhanced yellow fluorescent protein (EYFP) as an optically-addressable spin sensor. This thesis details the background, experimental techniques, and measurements used to characterize the properties of this novel sensor. I hope it may be of use to future experimentalists in their study of metastable triplet systems.
