abstract = {PCT No. PCT/US94/04398 Sec. 371 Date Dec. 4, 1995 Sec. 102(e) Date Dec. 4, 1995 PCT Filed Apr. 21, 1994 PCT Pub. No. WO94/25799 PCT Pub. Date Nov. 10, 1994A process for treating organic waste materials without venting gaseous emissions to the atmosphere which includes oxidizing the organic waste materials at an elevated temperature not less than about 500 DEG C. with a gas having an oxygen content in the range of from about 20% to about 70% to produce an oxidation product containing CO2 gas. The gas is then filtered to remove particulates, and then contacted with an aqueous absorbent solution of alkali metal carbonates or alkanolamines to absorb a portion of the CO2 gas from the particulate-free oxidation product. The CO2 absorbent is thereafter separated for further processing. A process and system are also disclosed in which the waste materials are contacted with a reactive medium such as lime and product treatment as described.},
